This blog was created with one goal in mind: to share practical, reliable, and first-hand information that can benefit both locals and visitors.
Living on a small island like Guam means that not all information is readily available or well-organized like in Japan.
Sometimes, you can’t find answers online, and even guidebooks can’t keep up with the constant changes.
That’s why I go out, explore, and bring back real, updated information straight from my own experiences.

For locals, I share topics such as:

• How to cook using Japanese seasonings and ingredients
• Where to find certain products sold in Guam (and exactly which aisle or section they’re in)
• Updates on new restaurants and cafes
• Internet speed checks and recommendations for Wi-Fi-friendly cafes

For visitors, I focus on information that goes beyond the typical tourist brochures:

• Honest reviews of local restaurants, including portion sizes, prices, and service quality
• Affordable tour and activity options that locals recommend

Because Guam is a popular tourist destination, many restaurants and activities are priced for tourists.
But as someone who lives here, I can offer insider tips on how to enjoy the island without overspending.
From $10 lunch spots in Hagåtña to secret beaches you won’t find in guidebooks, my goal is to help you experience the “real Guam.”

I believe the best way to understand Guam is to live it — to taste the food locals love, to walk the small streets, to try that new café that just opened, and to talk with the people who make this island unique.
That’s why everything I share here is based on personal experience.
Whether it’s a new shop opening, a product restock, or a seasonal event, I make it a point to visit in person and report back with accurate details and photos.

このブログでは、日本から訪れる観光客の方々に向けて、ガイドブックや観光サイトではなかなか知ることができない「地元ならではの生きた情報」をお届けしています。
グアムはタモンのホテル街や免税店だけではありません。ローカルが日常的に通う食堂、景色が美しいサンセットスポット、週末だけ開かれるマーケット、そして小さな路地に隠れたカフェなど、観光地以外にも魅力があふれています。

私が特に大切にしているのは「現地に足を運んで、自分の目で見て、食べて、確かめた情報だけを発信する」ということです。
グアムという小さな島では、インターネット上の情報が古かったり、営業時間やメニューが頻繁に変わったりすることも少なくありません。
だからこそ、実際にその場所を訪れ、店員さんやオーナーに話を聞き、体験談としてお伝えすることにこだわっています。

ブログの内容は多岐にわたります。

しかし、地元の人たちはもっと安く、しかも質の良いお店やアクティビティを知っています。
例えば、ハガニアで食べられる10ドル以下のランチ、地元民が通う海辺のBBQ店、観光ツアーよりも安く参加できる現地催行のアクティビティなど、実際に利用して良かったものをそのままご紹介しています。

このブログは、「せっかくグアムまで来たなら、ガイドブックに載っていない魅力も体験してほしい」という思いから始めました。
もちろん、定番の観光地や有名店も素晴らしいですが、それだけでは味わえない、この島ならではの空気や人とのつながりがあります。
観光客の方が一歩踏み込んでローカルの暮らしに触れれば、グアムはもっと面白く、もっと記憶に残る旅先になるはずです。
